Learning Laravel

Learning laravel

Around 2012, I stumbled across a post by Jeffrey Way while he was still writing for Nettuts+. That’s when I first heard about a new PHP framework called Laravel. At the time, PHP wasn’t exactly loved by developers but Laravel was different. It made building web apps exciting.

During my summer holidays from teaching, I dove in. I spent countless hours watching tutorials, reading articles, and experimenting with code. The more I learned, the more I was hooked on the framework.

Learning from Laracasts

When Jeffrey Way launched Laracasts, I began watching his videos and learned a ton about the "Laravel way" of doing things. Jeffery is a great teacher and Laracasts taught me the importance of writing clean, maintainable code and gave me a foundation that continues to shape the way I build software today.
