Joining the Church Social team

The jump from education into software was a big milestone in my life. After more than a decade in the classroom, I was used to interacting with students and staff face-to-face and commuting to work every day. Moving into software development meant a complete shift. I had to get used to working from home, collaborating with the small Church Social team online, and adjusting to a quieter, more focused environment.
Building an app that serves congregations
It didn’t take long for me to find fulfillment in my new role. I was able to grow my skills and serve churches in a different way, by developing new features, improving existing ones, and helping people make the most of the software. Each improvement felt meaningful, knowing it helped a church or number of churches solve a real problem.
